Insead opens US office

Insead, which has campuses in Fontainebleau, France, and in Singapore, is to open an office in New York City. In addition to its European and Asian campuses the school has a centre for research and executive education in Abu Dhabi and a research centre in Israel.
Insead also has an ongoing relationship with the Wharton school at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dean Frank Brown has frequently said that Insead will not open a third campus until the other two are full. Instead, the US office will be used to develop alumni relations activities, build awareness within the corporate sector and expand non-degree executive education work. Mary Lee Rieley, has been appointed as director of external relations for the Americas and Stewart Black, affiliate professor of organisational behaviour, will serve as associate dean of executive development programmes there.
Insead is one of a number of European business schools to set up offices in New York. In particular, Iese Business School opened there last month. Director of the new Iese office is Canadian Eric Weber, associate dean of Iese.
Insead’s office will be located at 75 Rockefeller Plaza.
